Over the last 15 years MediaTek has been making smartphone processors and has developed multiple series of processor chipsets. Now, the company has rolled its latest entry in market that is being called MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It was developed for gamers to play games ruthlessly. The processor is coming with new Redmi Note 9 smartphone which was announced recently. For Indian Territory, this smartphone can also come with the support of NAVIC.
Features
The brand new MediaTek Helio G85 comes with the 2+6 core arrangement and the same features two Cortex-A75 cores which is clocked at up to 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores. Mali G52 GPU is also integrated in the chipset which is clocked at 1000 MHz. That the reason, why everyone is saying that processor is made up for everyday gamers.
Processor for Streamers
MediaTek also announced that using the cutting edge AV1 Video Codec on the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G SoC it will enable YouTube Video Streaming. This is an add-on for this processor.
Helio G85 vs Snapdragon 665 vs Exynos 9611
During announcement of its new smartphone Xiaomi has also shared some benchmarks of the battle of Helio G85 with Snapdragon 665 and Exynos 9611, the result of this battle goes in the favor of Helio G85. Well, the more will be disclosed in the upcoming Reviews.
