How Innovations are contributing in fight against COVID-19

The coronavirus outbreak has completely shut down the world. Some people are also saying that Earth is rebuilding. This has never been seen before in any pandemics. The medical community completely shifting their focus and effort on fighting back against this worldwide pandemic, it's left many without work or anything productive to do.

Around the world there are a lot of physicist, engineers and scientists who all are making tremendous efforts to fight back against corona. Thousands of collective and collaborative efforts are taking place each and every day in a hope of getting something surprising to stop the spread. From 3D printed masks to mechanical ventilators. In India, Indian Railway has converted thousands of Trains into Isolation wards, isn't it a genius thing? Our great minds are innovating things in the way that will be very beneficial in future, if this spread didn't stops.

The Engineering Efforts

  1. NonoHack Mask is a Engineering gift which is built with the help of 3D printing technology. It is designed specifically for use with a polypropylene filter material to fit in the bottom, it can provide filtration for up to 96.4% of microorganisms the size of one micron and 89.5% of microorganisms of .02 microns. The designers said that if you don't have a specified filter material you can use any fabric and you can easily inherit it in mask. It won't be as good as specified filter but it may be used.

  2. Researchers at Chulalongkorn University have rolled out three new telemedicine robots that can be used by Hospital staff in order to communicate and interact with COVID-19 patients remotely. These robots are helping in maintaining isolation and at the same time treating patients.

  3. Prescientx, a company located in Ontario, Canada, has tried to create a device that can disinfect surgical masks very quickly. The device is situated overtop of the masks and a UV-C light is shone on the mask at different angles for differing amounts of time. That said, it doesn't take very long to disinfect just one mask. In fact, the device, called the Terminator CoV, can disinfect up to 500 masks per hour.

  4. Indian Government has launched Arogya Setu app to fight against this Novel Coronavirus App. This app start protecting you by alerting as soon as you register in this, it's free. This app alerts you if anyone with COVID-19 symptoms are around you. This app can help you in checking symptoms and helping you through the situation.

What we are doing?

Well, this spread has affected lots of students. The universities are closed, even schools were. We have created a set of notes for students to help them through their syllabus. We have also worked on a junction where students join for free and discuss their problems. Please do share our Junction and Notes. So that students from different nations can help each other during these hard times.

The End Notes

The engineering and innovations has no end. Maybe, somethings we forget to add here. If you know anything else and what else is done by your country. Please make sure to do an effort to leave a comment. Wait. The big is still to come. Have a good one.

Cheers!
