We can see everywhere with our telescopes. White dots, spiral structures of galaxies and the whole things are covered on a black screen.
The main reason it seems black because, light doesn't reflect back from that black part of universe to our retina of eye for reflection we need some surface to reflect it back and our universe is not covered with some reflecting surface. It’s vast and infinite. As our scientist also discovering that universe is expanding with time so, there is no chance of reflection of light from that black part. Even some of dots(rocks, stars, galaxies, whatever..) from our nearest galaxies not able to reach their light to our eye yet. that light is travelling somewhere between we and the source of that dot in this vast universe literally, even if we assume universe has covering of reflecting surface.
