Today morning, i just woke up and a question came to my mind that, What is the weight of the Earth?
So, mass of Earth is known to everyone and that is 5.972 × 10^24 kg. But mass and weight are entirely two different things. The mass is essentially "how much stuff" is in the object whereas weight is the gravitational attraction between two objects that have mass.
So, for now I will use the definition of weight. The gravitational attraction between two objects that have mass is known as Weight. Let's crack it.
So, weight is actually a force of attraction between two object.
F=ma, where a is acceleration.
W=mg, where g is acceleration due to gravity between two objects.
If I took me and Earth in consideration, W=50. That's my weight 50 kg.
So, the same will be for Earth as we have a common gravitational force of attraction. The sign may get change and turn negative but the weight will actually remain same. Isn't it?
Well, this is whole my point of view and I just want to know your thoughts about it. Please drop your views in the comment section. If I am wrong, correct me. If I am right, appreciate me. That's just a thought of mind. Cheers!
